Statistics:

It is the intent of the Statistics Department to provide valid and reliable data to the Lummi Community in order to help support sound decision-making. 

The Lummi Statistics Department provides the following services to the Council and to other departments within LIBC:

1. Gather and summarize available data on Lummi and other natives living on the Lummi Reservation and in Whatcom County.
2. Provide the Council, LIBC and community members with information that reports the demographic history of Lummi tribal members as well as projections of future demographic changes.
3. Provide technical assistance to LIBC departments in maintaining reliable data, as well as summarizing data and creating reports.
4. Provide technical assistance with the creation and implementation of research projects relating to the social trends of the Lummi community.
5. Conduct research on and off the Lummi reservation to maintain a history of tribal demographics.
