Job Summary
The Lummi Behavioral Accountability Program is licensed by the State of Washington to provide domestic violence perpetrator treatment services. The program complies with the Washington State Administrative Codes Domestic Violence Perpetrator Treatment Program Standards and is licensed by WA State. The BAP Counselor I is either a Bachelor, Masters or PhD level trained counseling provider. The treatment will be provided to both male and female domestic violence offenders. The program goal is to enhance domestic violence victim safety by helping perpetrators learn non-violent, non-abusive, and non-controlling relationship behaviors. Referrals for treatment come to the Counselor via the Lummi Court, Lummi Probation, and courts and probation departments in Whatcom County, and surrounding counties.
