LYSS offers financial assistance to youth and their families, and teams, to help offset the cost of participation in various extracurricular activities; ranging from traditional sports and tournaments, to canoe pulling and music lessons. Funds are allocated each calendar year, and can be used to pay for fees, purchase necessary gear and help with travel expenses related to the youth's extracurricular activity.
