Job Summary
Lummi Tribal Health Center (LTHC) is a nationally recognized tribal and
federally qualified health center run by and for Lummi Nation, located outside of Bellingham, WA.
Services include adult and pediatric primary care, psychiatry, physical therapy, dental, social work,
and an integrated public health department. In the summer of 2023, Lummi Tribal Health Center will
move into a state-of-the-art clinic, and we are growing our team so that we can continue to expand
our services.
The Public Health Nurse Supervisor is a critical leadership position within Lummi Tribal Health
Center. The person in this position manages the public health team and is responsible for
communicable disease management and emergency preparedness and response. In addition, the
person in this role provides public health guidance to Lummi Indian Business Council (LIBC)
departments and works closely with Lummi Nation School and Early Learning to provide timely
guidance on disease prevention and health promotion. Other activities include but are not limited to
health education and advocacy and coalition building. The person in this position may perform some
or all the listed duties and other duties as assigned, depending upon the needs of the community and
clinic.
This position supervises the clinics Public Health team members and is supervised by the Public
Health Director. The person in this role also works closely with the clinics Public Health Nurse and
Population Health Data Manager, Infection Prevention and Occupational Health Manager, Health
Education Manager, and administrative staff.
