Child Support Conditional Fishing License Agreement

Signing requirements, reinstatement of fishing validation, and child support compliance under Resolution #2026-109.

October 2026 signing deadline has passed

Fishers with child support obligations who missed the October 16, 2026 deadline to sign the Conditional Tribal Fishing Validation and Child Support Compliance Agreement must complete, sign, and notarize the agreement and submit it to the Lummi Nation Child Support Program to restore fishing validation suspended for missing that deadline.

How to Reinstate Fishing Validation Suspended for Missing the Signing Deadline

If your fishing validation was suspended in October 2026 because you did not sign the required agreement by the deadline, follow these steps:

  1. Download and complete the conditional license agreement. Fill out the required information.
  2. Sign and notarize the completed agreement. Do not submit an unsigned or unnotarized agreement.
  3. Send the completed, signed, and notarized agreement to LNCSP. Contact the program if you need instructions for securely submitting your document.

When will my validation be reinstated?

Once LNCSP receives your completed, signed, and notarized agreement, your fishing validation will be reinstated. It may take up to two business days for reinstatement on the child support end.

Where Can I Find Notary Services?

Notary services may be available through:

  • Lummi Nation Child Support Program — free notary services
  • USPS or other local postal-service locations that offer notary services
  • Many local libraries and other local notary providers

LNCSP provides free notary services. For other locations, contact the provider to confirm availability, appointment requirements, hours, and any applicable fees. Bring identification and do not sign the document until directed by the notary, if required.

Suspended for Child Support Payment Noncompliance?

If your fishing validation was suspended because you did not comply with your child support obligations or an agreed payment plan, contact your assigned LNCSP case manager to discuss your options.

Reinstatement for payment noncompliance is a different process from reinstatement after missing the October signing deadline. Submitting the conditional license agreement alone does not automatically resolve a payment-related suspension.

A payment plan may be available based on your circumstances. An agreed payment plan does not change your court-ordered support amount, and unpaid support may continue to accrue as arrears.
