The Wildlife Program seeks to defend and protect treaty rights related to wildlife management, hunting, and gathering, as well as maximize and protect wildlife, hunting, and gathering resources and opportunities.
This course is a free online alternative to the Washington state course available to Tribal members.
Lummi wildlife staff collaborated with Point Elliott Treaty Tribes and state co-managers to complete aerial surveys in March of this year.
This group of elk was spotted from the helicopter at the Skookum Hatchery during elk surveys to monitor the North Cascades Elk Herd population.
As part of the North Sound Motus Collaborative project Lummi is now hosting two 'Motus' stations which pick up radio-tagged birds as they fly past. These types of stations work together to reveal more about migration patterns and areas of use for different birds.
