Job Summary
The Peer Support specialist will provide services to clients at the health housing tiny homes helping individuals who reside at this site who are in maintenance phase of recovery. as well as the Low barrier units at Kwensot Qelat Village. The individual must be a licensed or certified Peer support specialist, who holds a license are willing to pursue a WA Sate license as a certified peer counselor or specialist. Work across multiple stakeholders to gather all perspectives and incorporating all work in a multi-disciplinary team to help unhoused individuals who are suffering from substance use and mental health issues. This will include, but not be limited to, transportation, targeted outreach, engagement with people suffering from co-occurring disorders, and housing disparities. The incumbent will provide case management and peer support to clients under the supervision of the Health Housing Case Manager and Program Manager. These services include coordination of support community services and assistance with stabilization after a period of homelessness, prevention services, self-advocacy, development of natural supports, and the development and maintenance of community living skills. They will focus on the stability of clients and fellow team members within both Tiny homes and KQV community and health and wellness needs. This position is cross trained with the tiny homes a population of individuals in maintenance phase of recovery doing well in society and are growing in their recovery and no to low barrier housing at the KQV site.
