siɁamíca is my ancestorial name. My name is Christina L. Hoekstra, and I am a Makah Tribal member with Jamestown S'Klallam and Aleut roots. I am a mother, a widow, a student in the Bachelor of Arts CARES Program at Northwest Indian College, and a woman in long-term recovery. My personal journey has shaped my passion for helping others find hope, healing, and purpose.I have earned my degrees in Chemical Dependency, Behavioral Health Aide, and General Education through Northwest Indian College. I am committed to serving Indigenous communities through culturally grounded, trauma-informed care, with a focus on elder care, youth services, and incorporating Lummi ways of healing to support the wellness of the Lummi people.It is an honor to live and work in the Lummi community as a guest. I am grateful for the opportunity to learn, serve, and walk alongside others on their healing journeys. My goal is to spend the rest of my life helping people overcome challenges, strengthen their resilience, and build healthier futures while honoring the culture, traditions, and values of the communities I serve.
