Job Summary
Behavioral Health Department is currently looking for a Licensed Mental
Health Provider (LMHP)/ Designated Crisis Responder (DCR) for our Crisis Outreach Team. The
LMHP/DCR provides crisis intervention mental health services to persons of all ages experiencing
acute behavioral health issues and when appropriate evaluate for involuntary detention. These
services will be provided primarily on Lummi Tribal Lands to individuals who are in crisis or for
whom a crisis episode is deemed to be emergent. This position will also provide support and backup
to Crisis Outreach Team members as needed.
The Crisis Outreach Team is a Lummi Nation community-based outreach team with the ability to
respond to and provide crisis services in the community (e.g., homes, schools, and shelters). The
Team serves adults, adolescents, and children who are experiencing a behavioral health (mental
health and/or substance use) crisis regardless of their funding source. LCOT offers short-term crisis
intervention and prevention services utilizing strength-based, solution-focused, culturally congruent,
trauma-informed, and recovery-oriented interventions.
