Job Summary
: The Certified Peer Counselor (CPC) is responsible for providing peer support
services, including but not limited to targeted outreach and engagement to Lummi tribal members
including families. The incumbent provides prevention of substance use disorder (SUD) peer support
services to individuals or group(s) under the supervision of the Clinical Supervisor. This will include
but not limited to: transportation, targeted outreach and engagement to people suffering from co-
occurring disorders. The incumbent will be providing peer support recovery services to clients under
the supervision of the HEH Director, HEH Medical Doctor, and LCS Lead SUDP. These services
include coordination and assistance with the stabilization of medication assisted treatment, prevention
services, self-advocacy, development of natural supports, and the development and maintenance of
community living skills. These services include assistance with stabilization, prevention services,
self-advocacy, development of natural supports, and the development and maintenance of individual
self-care and health promotion practices, habits and activities.
