Job Summary
Under the supervision of the Aquatic Invasive Species Manager, with input from
other senior division staff, including the AIS Lead Biologist, the Seasonal Field Technician (EGC)
will be responsible for assisting with invasive European green crab (EGC) trapping and removal on
Lummi Reservation tidelands, including the Lummi Sea Pond, following existing protocols. Field
work will entail walking long distances (>1 mile) along the shoreline, carrying field gear, and samples
(up to 50 lb.) for extended periods of time. EGC removal trapping and sampling will also entail setting
traps, measuring EGC, and identifying associated by-catch in the sample area. The Seasonal Field
Technician (EGC) will also be responsible for recording data in the field and taking detailed, legible
notes.
