Job Summary
Under the supervision of the lead European green crab (EGC) biologist, senior-
level LNR staff biologists, and AIS Manager, the Field Technician will be responsible for assisting
with invasive EGC trapping following established EGC trapping protocols. Fieldwork will entail
walking long distances (>1 mile) along the shoreline, carrying field gear and samples (up to 50 lbs.)
for extended periods of time, and sampling specific areas of beach and marshland by setting traps,
identifying and measuring EGC and associated by-catch in the sample area. The Field Technician
will also be responsible for recording data in the field, taking detailed, legible notes, and entering data
into a database. This position is 40 hours per week.
