Job Summary
Under the supervision of senior Fisheries Management Biologists, the Fisheries
Technician III will play a supporting role in several field sampling and data collection projects that
contribute to the management of fish and shellfish for the Lummi Nation. The Fisheries Technician
will carry out biological sampling of salmon and halibut harvested during commercial, subsistence,
ceremonial, and assessment fisheries, and participate in monitoring and assessing shellfish
populations. The Fisheries Technician will provide technical and administrative support to regular
fisheries management activities including data entry, outreach to the Lummi fishing community, and
assisting with community distributions. This position may require irregular working hours (evenings
or weekends) to fulfill sampling duties. The position is grant funded and will end 11/30/2026;
extension is possible with procurement of additional funding. This position is eligible for health and
retirement benefits. 20-40 hours per week.
