Job Summary
The Clinical Pharmacist – Secure Withdrawal Management & Stabilization
(SWMS) will work directly with the SWMS Medical Director for medication management within
the SWMS program. This role supports the safe, effective, and compliant use of medications for
acute withdrawal management, medication-assisted treatment (MAT) and psychiatric stabilization,
in a setting with provider stock medications and an inpatient pharmacy.
The Clinical Pharmacist provides direct clinical oversight, collaborates closely with medical,
nursing, clinical, and administrative teams, and serves as the liaison with contract pharmacies to
ensure continuity of care. The position is responsible for medication safety, clinical protocol
development, controlled substance oversight, regulatory compliance, and the planning,
implementation, and ongoing clinical oversight of automated medication dispensing systems (e.g.,
Omnicell) in accordance with Federal, State, Tribal, and accreditation standards.
