The mission of the LNR Climate Division is to provide coordination and representation for the LIBC’s climate and energy programs internally and with outside entities including other jurisdictions, government agencies, legislative bodies, contractors, and non-governmental partners. The Division shall develop strategic partnerships to facilitate and expand climate resilience and hazard mitigation efforts in support of the LIBC’s Climate Change related goals and objectives, and to ensure that Lummi’s Treaty Reserved rights are protected and maximized.

Climate Division staff are charged with updating and maintaining the Lummi Nation 10-Year Climate Plan, coordinating meetings of the Interdepartmental LIBC Climate Team, and managing various grant projects associated with climate mitigation and adaptation efforts.

Take the Lummi Nation Climate Change Survey to provide input on priorities for the 10-Year Climate Plan!
