Prior to the formal adoption by LIBC, the 2023-2027 Draft Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy (CEDS) has been released for a 30-day public comment period beginning on May 19, 2023, and will be open until June 26, 2023. Please join in weighing in on the Lummi Nation’s regional planning process.
The U.S. Economic Development Administration (EDA) defines the Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy (CEDS) as a strategy-driven plan for regional economic development. It is designed to build capacity and guide the economic prosperity and resiliency of a region and provides the capacity-building foundation for different sectors (private, government, non-profit) to work in conjunction with one another to create the environment for regional economic prosperity.
