Jonathan Hallenbeck

As part of the EGC Response Jonathan has been able to combine his previous experiences in boat safety, being a first responder EMT on an ambulance, and leading operational teams through his time with the military. He enjoys boating, and participating in ecological and conservation projects, which brought him here to LIBC, and the Aquatic Invasive Species Division.

Jonathan has been with Lummi Natural Resources since September of 2022, where he is part of the European Green Crab Response. He has worked with different agencies and stakeholders in EGC management and brings that knowledge to our project. Jonathan is a Washingtonian, having graduated from Skagit Valley College with a Bachelor of Applied Science in Environmental Conservation. He grew up in nearby Anacortes where he spent a lot of time on or near the water.
