Project Description:

The Middle Fork Nooksack Habitat Assessment was undertaken as a piece of the Watershed Resources Inventory Area (WRIA) 1 salmon recovery planning effort. The goals of the assessment are to characterize the dominant habitat-forming processes in the Middle Fork Nooksack Watershed, assess the current instream habitat and water quality conditions, and describe the current and historic use by salmonids. From this information, habitat restoration objectives will be outlined and a prioritized project list will be developed.
