Megan Russell

Megan Russell joined the Lummi Natural Resources team at the end of 2021. She grew up in the Pacific Northwest where her passion for marine resources grew while exploring the Puget Sound. Megan went to the University of Hawai'i where she received a B.S. in Marine Biology. In Hawai'i, Megan also became a professional diver, receiving her AAUS scientific diver certification as well as becoming a NAUI SCUBA instructor. After this, she continued her education earning a M.Sc. in Biology at Western Washington University in the Marine and Estuarine Science Program. At LNR, Megan works to ensure the safety of the Lummi commercial dive fleet as well as assisting with the management of target species including sea cucumbers, sea urchins, and geoduck.
