Emily graduated from Western Washington University in 2023 with a BA in Physical Geography and minors in Environmental Science and GIS. Prior to working for Lummi Natural Resources, she gained experience through an internship with King County doing program management and communications in floodplain risk reduction for a Capital Project on the Lower White River. Following graduation, Emily landed a job as a European Green Crab Scientific Technician for WDFW, conducting early detection monitoring and control/removal trapping efforts around the Salish Sea region. This position provided strong field work skills that continue to support her current role working in intertidal environments.
